Hello-
I am Diane Martinson, principal/business manager for the Edmore Public School. I began at the school in 2008 as a part-time business manager. The longer I stayed the more passionate I became about the field of education, so I went back to school and received my elementary education degree from Mayville State University in 2012. I also received my Title I reading and library media specialist credentials in the process. In 2015 I graduated from UND with my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. Currently I fulfill the responsibilities of principal, business manager, librarian, and Title I coordinator.
My husband, John, and I live on my husband's family farm where we continue to farm, raising small grain crops. He is also a graduate of Edmore Public School. I, on the other hand, graduated a little further west, from Starkweather, ND. (I do believe I am the only Starkweather native to marry an Edmore native!!) We were Blessed with twins, Kaden and Miranda. Kaden resides in Devils Lake and is an agronomist for John Deere. Miranda is in Fargo where she is a lead designer for Brookstone Properties. We have had alot of excitement this past year in that Miranda married Aaron on October 16th and Kaden married Mary on July 2nd. I am beyond Blessed with my 2 new children!
I am a HUGE fan of UND Fighting Sioux hockey, golfing, and traveling. I also enjoy spending time with family any chance I can get (I have 8 siblings, and over 50 nieces/nephews/greats-so it is pretty easy) :)
I love my combined roles and being able to work with all the students here at Edmore. Each child is unique and special to me--and they fill a special place in my heart. I truly believe in this school and the great education we provide due to our size....we may be small but we accomplish mighty things with our talented staff and students! I am so thankful for the opportunity to serve the families and students of EPS.
